No, it’s J.D. Roth. He used to also be the host of a game show called Funhouse that had kids running through obstacle courses and whatnot. =)

  2. babato12365 says:

    @DrCruel Lol okay.

  3. DrCruel says:

@babato12365 Make your own choice. I’m sticking to “Astley Poof” for the win.

  4. babato12365 says:

@DrCruel It’s not Seth Green or Rick Astley. Rick Astley has a british accent. I was just sayin they look similar

  5. DrCruel says:

@babato12365 No. It’s Rick Astley gay brother.

  6. babato12365 says:

    Is that Seth Green?

EXACTLY! I remember playing one of these as a kid as well… and there was *no* doubt in my mind we’d all have something like it in our homes by now.

    Guess not. :(

This makes me want to throw my Wii out the window. DUDES!!!!

  10. PoPoNellie says:

Awesome…Yes. Longlived….No. Even its connection to the air force couldn’t save this techno-wonder from obsolescence. I wonder if its because they were using Amiga motherboards for the guts?

  11. tnaseem says:

The Red Baron game you’re thinking of was called ‘Flying Aces’. That was one of mine too :)

Our original name for it was much better tho – ‘Silly Fokkers’, but we weren’t allowed to use it… I wonder why? :)

    Absolutely *wonderful* !
    Thanks for putting this on!

I look ALL OVER for Dactyl NightMare footage & *here* it is! lol

    Whatever became of VR?
The image on the left in the beginning is from an article in the December 1992 issue of “Computer Gaming World” titled “HOME VR IN 1994″.

I wish Apple’d take that bold step & introduce a home VR deck called “Virtuoso” or somethin’ like that ….

    *sigh* ….

    Thanks for posting.

I remember playing these games in the Trocadero Centre in London, in about 1992! Coin-operated, but always had staff to help/protect the gear. Very heavy goggles I remember. I also remember a WW1 air combat game with the Red Baron!

With all the console development over the last 15 years, why don’t we have a lightweight system for home use? I’d spend good money on kit like that! Why?!?! :)

  14. tnaseem says:

Great! I’ve been looking for screenshots / video’s of the games I developed at Virtuality and I found this! Thanks for sticking this up.

It’s great to see them again. brings back memories :)
